Mark Mark  Barnard, President

In 1985, Mark took a job with Georgia Pacific after successfully graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Economics from Saint Anselm College.  Since then, he has held roles with Coastal Forest Products and then with two national corporations, Talpx and USPL, where he served in the capacity of Vice President and National Sales Manager.  In his Senior Level positions, Mark learned the value of a Best in Class team of professionals.

In 2004, Mark opened the doors to the offices of SnapDragon Associates.  The company is his passion and he loves the team that has come together is truly Best in Class.  He loves the challenge of identifying top executive talents and coaching and teaching our team to set goals, use common sense and work hard while developing long lasting relationships with candidates and clients alike. Being industry experts is important to our firm and one of the reasons we participate in industry functions and associations.  We serve the industry we are from.

When Mark isn’t assisting clients and/or candidates, he is spending quality time with his family enjoying outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing.  He is a huge believer in sharing our gifts and talents and has made two mission trips to Uganda serving on medical missions.

Bob L. Bob Lambert, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing

Bob started in the LBM Industry over 30 years ago building relationships. He graduated from Quincy, MA and attended the University Of New Hampshire with a focus on Business Administration.

Bob worked on a construction crew and opened a successful contractor installation business that focused on roofing & siding for several years. He realized it was his attention to detail that made the difference with customers. After several years of operating a construction firm, he then focused on Sales with Morton Buildings after being recruited to them. He spent 10 years with Morton Buildings as a Sales/Project Manager and found sales to be rewarding and appreciated. During his time with Morton, seven years exceeded the Million Dollar Sales Club with projects exceeding $2 million dollars.

Finally he brought his sales and relationship building skills to SnapDragon Associates where he became an Industry Leader and Vice-President of Sales & Marketing.

As his wife says: “This is the perfect career, where the fulfillment of career and personal goals are very rewarding.” Many clients and candidates continue to reach out in search of the perfect parallels.

He enjoys boating, scuba diving and sports cars, and time with family & friends. He has a wonderful wife, son & daughter and cherishes time with them.

John Brill John Brill, Business Development

John is a graduate of the State University of New York, at Geneseo and has completed graduate studies at both The University of Pittsburgh& The University of Pennsylvania. He is a true veteran of the Lumber and Building Materials business having spent over 23 years at the Northeastern Lumber Association (NRLA) serving as President and another 10 in the successful placement of executives in the industry throughout the country. During John’s tenure as President the Association moved its headquarters from Rochester, N.Y. to Albany, N.Y. Shortly after retiring from the NRLA, he joined Lee Resources in their Recruiting Division as an Executive Recruiter focused on retail and wholesale management and sales employees. John lives in sunny Florida with his wife Lynda and is an active volunteer in his community.

Jon G. Jon Gunn, Executive Recruiter

Starting out with a hammer and trowel, Jon served the greater Philadelphia region as a brick, block and stone mason for 8 years before wising up and joining the Air Force.  After thirteen years of active duty in various locations around the world, Jon ended his Active Duty career as a formally trained recruiter.  Finding a great deal of success as a military recruiter, Jon opted to continue in his path while calling on the knowledge of past experience.  While serving, Jon earned Associates Degrees in Aircraft Maintenance, Education and Training, and Human Resource Management and a Bachelors in Applied Management.  Now in his third year with SnapDragon Associates, Jon has established himself as a credible resource and a power player in the markets he works.  When not recruiting, Jon likes to be in the woods as much as possible.  A mountain man at heart, Jon has been tamed by domestic requirements and prides himself on being the consummate handyman.  Jon thrives on being able to have frank and candid conversations with both candidates and clients that enable him to properly asses and assist both in their placement process.

Kammey Kammey Grierson, Executive Recruiter

Kammey started in the industry at a very young age having grown up in a family of Architects.  She witnessed as her parents not only designed, but built her family home – often wielding a hammer from time to time herself.  Her career started in the retail industry after attending Johnson and Wales to study Marketing and Visuals, Display and Design. After some time, she decided to pursue a professional career thus landing her in staffing and recruiting which she quickly developed a knack for given her desire to help people.  While in these roles, Kammey learned a lot from the distribution, manufacturing and wholesale clients that she staffed for, and has learned even more since joining SnapDragon in 2011.  Today, she brings forth over 15 years of experience.

When Kammey isn’t at the office, she’s enjoying time with her family – watching her son and step-son grow, playing sports including basketball, football and soccer or out exploring.  They love the White Mountains region of the state and spend several vacations camping “tent style.”

Kammey has held a few different roles while with SnapDragon, and has enjoyed them all. She is a genuine and trustworthy individual and thrives in an environment where she knows her employer, teammates, candidates and clients trust and rely on her for the exemplary service she provides and for the value she adds to their lives as a Trusted Advisor.

Bob K. Bob King, Vice President – Business Development & Succession Planning

Bob began his career working in his father’s lumber yard weekends and summers.  He earned a dual degree in Marketing and Wood Science & Technology from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst.  He worked for two LBM Distributors before co-founding Coastal Forest Products in 1983. Coastal became the preeminent force in wholesale building materials in New England and many companies, nationwide, adopted their sales and distribution template.  After selling his interest in Coastal in 1995, Bob founded Sensibuilt Building Products, manufacturing revolutionary cellular PVC trim and decking products.  Sesnibuilt merged with Fiberon Decking in 2008 where Bob stayed on in product development and sales management until 2013.

Bob joined SnapDragon with over 40 years in the building materials industry and is considered a pioneer in the business having a proven track record of implementing new products through superior supply chain management.  In addition to his stellar career, Bob has also served for five years on the NAWLA board of directors and is a true innovator in the LBM Industry.  Currently, Bob resides in Laconia, NH at his home on Lake Winnipesaukee enjoying golf, target shooting, boating and family time when his four daughters are home to visit.

Recruiting gives Bob a chance to exchange information with industry friends, old and new.  The LBM Industry has been very good to him and it’s nice to have the opportunity to give back.  His long-term relationships and experience simplify the job of “perfectly fitting” a pre-qualified candidate with a company and a position that needs that exact candidate match to perform at the highest level.  Everyone wins!

Cassie Cassie Barnard, Executive Recruiter/Office Manager

SnapDragon Associates has been in Cassie’s family for over eleven years now. It was a pleasant surprise when she joined the firm after graduating with high honors from Plymouth State University in 2013. Although she received her Bachelors in Childhood Studies, planning on being a teacher, she has been able to transfer her skill set to this line of work with ease. With her father, Mark, being in the industry for as long as he has, it’s been an easy transition for her to join the lumber and building materials world. Cassie is a fearless and motivated professional who shows her candidates due respect and care as she helps them transition from one position to a new opportunity or growth role with one of our clients. Cassie has a great deal of common sense which serves her well in the industry and always comes back with the results our clients demand. Cassie is bright, friendly and has a terrific sense of humor that can disarm even the most uptight person. People like working with her as she cares and her hard work shows it. Her hopes are to make her father proud by continuing to learn the industry she serves and to continue to make positive relationships with the other professionals she works with. Being able to contribute to her father’s professional dream has been an amazing experience for her and she is dead set on making her own mark on the LBM Industry, just as her father has.

Mady Madyson Caruso, Account Manager

Madyson grew up in the industry with her dad owning a Gardening Center where he had a heavy focus and knowledge of hardscapes, designing patios, fire pits, etc.  Since then, especially over the last year she has become familiar learning about new products and companies within the industry by attending trade shows and mentoring with her colleagues.  Mady has her Associate’s Degree in General Studies with a Minor in Community Social Service.

Madyson enjoys spending time with her family, retail therapy, dancing, hiking and helping others.  She enjoys the communication aspect of her career in recruiting in addition to the relationships she builds daily.  Madyson has shown that through setting goals she can achieve anything she sets her mind to!

Hayley Hayley Barnard, Marketing Specialist

Hayley, daughter of Mark Barnard, joined SnapDragon Associates the summer of 2014 and has truly added such life to the company. She has seen her father’s work steadily grow over the past ten years, giving her an understanding of how to manage people, and how to have passion for her work. Recently, Hayley graduated from Rivier University receiving a Bachelors of Psychology. Along with her father and sister, Hayley has come to enjoy the recruiting world and thrives in the fast paced environment. Hayley has done a great job of balancing work and school and she has even recently developed the Marketing Department here at SnapDragon Associates. Hayley is extremely personable, positive and has motivated our team to be as hard working as she is. We are thrilled to have her with us!

Steve CocoSteve Coco, Executive Recruiter

Steve is new to not only the Recruiting Industry but also the world of Lumber and Building Materials. He has hit the ground running and utilizes a true passion for knowledge and learning in order to understand the influence a company like SnapDragon Associates has on both Candidates and Clients. Steve has a background in Law Enforcement and possesses the skills needed to extract vital information from Clients to ensure he is tracking down the perfect Candidate to present for hire. Both Candidates and Clients have found him to be a pleasure to work with. Steve’s determination and competitive nature allow him to motivate colleagues and we have found him to be a breath of fresh air and are very excited to have him on board. Steve is a dedicated family man and avid remodeler; when not at work you will find him at one of his two daughter’s sporting events or working on his next home improvement project.

Geoff Keifer Geoff Keifer, Executive Recruiter

Geoff joins SnapDragon Associates with over 35 years in the Building Materials Industry.  His start in the industry began with The Andersen Corporation, who provided him with the tools to navigate in the industry as a professional.  His experience includes windows, doors, millwork, specialty building products, and engineered lumber and within our mutual industry focus – manufacturing, wholesale, distribution and retail.  Geoff has held roles including sales, sales management, national accounts management and general management and has been tasked with management, P&L and “turnaround” responsibilities with annual revenues up to $75 million.

Since he began consulting, Geoff has been invited to speak before groups and has developed a long list of professional industry contacts and has helped small businesses with sales and management challenges.  He is personable and builds long-lasting relationships easily.  With his strong industry experience, Geoff is sure to be a natural when it comes to helping you with your recruiting and management needs.  He currently resides in Connecticut.
